Innovation in the wake of continuity: the interview with Nicola Tresoldi
Nicola Tresoldi is the Italy sales manager of Tresoldi Metalli, where he has worked for 15 years in roles of increasing responsibility. We met him and talked to him about the service offered and the company’s new prospects.
Nicola, how did your journey within the company begin?
It started from the bottom. And I’m proud of it. I began by dealing with the back office and external sales. Then, as my experience consolidated working alongside Alberto and Gianni, I took on ever greater responsibilities.
You are starting a generational change. New developments coming for customers?
We have a deep-rooted history and we all move in that wake. It’s true, there are new energies in the field, we like to reflect on long-term prospects: we are investing in a lean management project to boost efficiency and productivity, and we are evaluating investments in the machinery, but the generational change for us is a partnership, where the key words are continuity and quality of the service offered.
In these years have you managed to guarantee the speed of deliveries that characterises Tresoldi?
Yes, even in the most complicated periods on the front of sourcing goods. We made massive investments to increase warehouse stocks, thus achieving practically continuous availability and managing to meet the expectations that the market has towards a company like ours.
In recent years you have evolved, also turning to industry. What has changed for the sheet-metal-work sector?
Only the possibility, for customers, of having an even more solid, fast and efficient partner. Since we expanded the offering, turnover has more than doubled. Sheet-metal work is, however, a fundamental reference for us, important for our future. We want to satisfy it by continuing to invest in the sector to offer excellence in terms of product quality, breadth of range and speed of service.
